More than we expected!

When we purchased DocumentIndexer+ we had one goal in mind. We just needed to make our paper Explanation Of Benefits (EOBs) electronically searchable. After speaking with Charlie, we found out that we could do even more with the Bar Code reader. Now, not only are our EOBs searchable, but we can find them based on search criteria we created using a custom bar code form. We search by check number, poster, date, insurance carrier and more. This was just the beginning. After seeing the success with the EOBs, other departments started asking how they could benefit from scanning as well. This lead us to start using the Workflow Loader and our scanning has expanded from one department to four. In addition, each of our ten full time clinics now scan encounter forms daily and we have increased our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) scanning productivity exponentially.

The support for the software is top notch. Charlie is extremely knowledgeable and is great to work with. Buy the support with the software, it is worth it and you will need it. The interface is a little tricky when you first get started. Charlie helps get your first workflow up and running and if your fairly skilled, you will be setting up your own in no time.

We have become very dependent on this software and it is now one of our critical apps. The software does not have the standard Microsoft feel to it. This is not necessarily a problem, just different and takes some getting used to. Setting up the workflow loader was a bit tricky, but Charlie is a great resource and helped us get it working (buy the support).

In conclusion, I will tell you that we love this software. DocumentIndexer+ has far exceeded our expectations and the gains in productivity have long since past what we paid for it. Our return on investment can be measured in weeks, not months or years. We are saving at least 100 man hours per week when you total all our locations. I give this software, Charlie and iPaperlessOffice my highest recomendation.

"One of my favorite things to do is streamline processes. For instance, for our application, though I didn’t have all the answers, in my mind what my company was looking to accomplish needed to be much better than what was envisioned. (A person sitting at a scanner, checking files, naming them and then saving.) After tons of research, I knew there were better mousetraps and decided to find one. Many caught my eye and I downloaded several demos, none to my complete satisfaction.

You guys, however, blew me away!

You gave me a fair price on the scanner and helped me choose the right one to grow with. I had priced the hardware on many websites and I’m sure you know, it varies greatly. "Our scanning-indexing-processing is going very well. After the first week or so the people who use it really got interested. Amongst themselves, they set up several ways to monitor that the scans are good, no dupes, etc... which sure took alot off me as I was prepared to be the watchdog. (By the way, we ARE getting good scans, files are acting properly etc). The upload of the files to our custom trucking software has worked perfectly.

The few small glitches we've had the users have viewed as an opportunity to streamline our process. They even wanted me to show them the proper way to clean the scanner. They've taken alot of ownership in the project which is what really shows me the success.

We are seeing the value quickly as we now have 1.5 months worth of documents scanned which gives more opportunity to email and fax docs to our customers instead of finding, faxing scanning etc. I get alot of positive comments and thanks on setting it up.
